Course Overview The PADI Discover Scuba/ Discover Scuba Diving programs let you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI Instructor in pool or pool like conditions, such as those found at a resort. During your adventure, you'll master some basic concepts and scuba skills and might even head off on an open water adventure.
What Does It Involve As soon as you Discover Scuba or Discover Scuba Diving, you're on your way to an internationally recognized certification. That's because you may learn skills from the PADI Open Water Diver course during your Discover Scuba adventure. If you and your instructor elect to practice these skills, they may be credited to the PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certifications.
What Will I Do When you participate in a Discover Scuba/Discover Scuba Diving program, you discover excitement and adventure - freedom and serenity. Nothing compares to the "weightless" exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling!

Course Prerequisites Whether you are 8 or 80 this is the ideal introduction to Scuba diving, giving you the opportunity to try scuba diving in the comfortable environment of our heated indoor pool.
Where Will It Take Place Our usual training pools are either the RGU Sports Complex in Garth Dee or The Academy Pool in Rosemount unless otherwise stated by your instructor.
Our Discover scuba sessions are run every Friday evening and some Wednesday evening in the year. These courses are ideal as a present, social club night out or for Someone looking for a new adventure.
How The Evening Runs Arrive at the dive center at 35 Waterloo Quay, Aberdeen (view map) for 7pm with your towel and swim wear. After an informal introduction with your instructor you will be taken to the center classroom for an introduction to scuba diving, its history, the equipment used and safety procedures used during your dive. Next stop is the center's kit room where you will be supplied with everything you need for your night of adventure. Now the real fun begins - On Arrival at the poolside your instructor will explain the basic kit you will be using before taking you into another world. It is here you can float like an astronaut in space, it has to be experienced to be beleived.
